Rayyan Dano Bin Panir Selvam

Rayyan Dano is a distinguished legal professional known for his expertise in commercial and general litigation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from University of Hertfordshire, UK, in 2015 and obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice in 2017.
During his pupillage at Messrs Dennis Nik & Wong, under the mentorship of the late Datuk Wong Rhen Yen, he gained extensive experience in Commercial and General Litigation, participating in trials and hearings at all levels of the Malaysian Court. He later honed his skills in appellate advocacy through a brief but invaluable tenure at Messrs Sri Ram under the late Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, where he was exposed to high-stakes contentious matters at the appellate court level.
Admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2018, Rayyan began his legal career as a Legal Associate at Messrs J.S. Pillay & Mohd Haaziq, specializing in banking litigation and debt recovery. In 2020, he co-founded Messrs Mura Raju & Denzel Tan alongside Denzel Tan, where he assumed the role of Managing Partner. Under his management, the firm—later renamed Messrs Rayyan Denzel & Sing Yih—has become a prominent legal practice, recognized for its expertise in litigation and delivering tailored solutions to complex legal challenges.

Denzel Tan Jiin Hock

Denzel Tan Jiin Hock is an accomplished legal professional with a stellar academic background and extensive litigation experience. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, in 2015, and subsequently earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Professional Training from Northumbria University, Newcastle, England, in 2016, achieving the prestigious grade of “Very Competent”. A member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, he was called to the Bar of England and Wales on October 13, 2016.
Upon returning to Malaysia, Denzel completed his pupillage under distinguished mentors at Messrs Chim Yiam & Associates and Messrs Masleena, Yee & Partners, gaining exposure to a diverse range of legal practices. During this period, he was also attached to Messrs M. Raman & Associates, honing his expertise in contractual and tortious disputes. Admitted to the Malaysian Bar in January 5, 2018, he embarked on his career as a Legal Associate at Messrs J.S Pillay & Mohd Haaziq, where he handled a broad spectrum of legal matters, including banking law, debt recovery, defamation, criminal law, family law and dispute resolution.
Denzel’s multidisciplinary training across boutique and mid-sized firms has equipped him with exceptional skills in drafting, trial advocacy, and hearings in various areas of general litigation. In 2020, he co-founded Messrs Mura Raju & Denzel Tan (now Messrs Rayyan Denzel & Sing Yih), where he leads the Civil and Criminal Litigation Department. Under his leadership, the firm has established a strong reputation for its expertise in resolving complex legal challenges across diverse practice areas.

Cheng Sing Yih
Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from Oxford Brookes University, UK
S.Y. Cheng is a dedicated legal professional with a comprehensive background in Litigation and Conveyancing. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from Oxford Brookes University, UK, in 2016, and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London, in 2017. A member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, he was called to the Bar of England and Wales on October 12, 2017.
In 2018, S. Y. Cheng began his legal journey with a pupillage at Messrs Justin Voon Chooi & Wing under the guidance of the Managing Partner Mr. Justin Voon. There, he gained hands-on experience in general litigation, handling a wide array of matters, including eviction proceedings, negligence, debt recovery, probate law, construction disputes, arbitration, adjudication and enforcement proceedings such as writs of seizure and sale, bankruptcy, and garnishment. Following his admission to the Malaysian Bar on October 26, 2018, he was retained as a Legal Associate, assisting the firm’s partners in hearings and trials.
Driven by a commitment to broadening his legal expertise, S. Y. Cheng joined Messrs Chee Sun & Associates (KL branch) in 2020. During his tenure, he successfully spearheaded the firm’s Civil Litigation portfolio while further refining his knowledge in Conveyancing matters.
In 2022, S. Y. Cheng’s expertise and leadership were recognized when he was invited to join Messrs Mura Raju & Denzel Tan as a Partner. He now leads the firm’s Conveyancing Department while continuing to lend his extensive litigation expertise to the firm’s broader practice areas. His contributions were instrumental in the firm’s rebranding to Messrs Rayyan Denzel & Sing Yih, reflecting its robust and dynamic partnership.
